Dark Circles

Dark Circles have always been a constant problem for me since a few years ago. I've done some research how to alleviate it and until now have yet to find a perfect solution for it. However, after watching the following video, it seems that Nurberxo's method of concealing dark circles is one of the better ones I've seen so far. She actually uses several layers of different kind of concealers cum correctors to cover her dark circles.

Have fun watching & hopefully some of you may find it useful as well!=p

UPDATE (25/12/2010): Bubzbeauty has just made an AWESOME video on how to minimise dark circles!^_^ I'm so happy to share this with you girls. Enjoy and have a Merry Merry Xmas!=)

1st Mini Beauty Haul!

Hey ladies! Today will be my first time to blog about my very 1st mini beauty haul! The purpose of this post is just to share with you all the beauty products I have got myself recently. Can you feel my excitement already? =) OK then, without further ado, let's get started!^_^

Cure Natural Aqua Gel
I usually only cleanse my face every night before going to bed. However, exfoliating our skin is also important to remove the unwanted dead skin cells so that any facial serum or moisturizers applied to our skin can be absorbed better. Last night when I visited Watsons , I was lucky to spot and buy this highly raved Japanese facial exfoliant, Cure Natural Aqua Gel! I get to know this product thanks to the makeup guru Bubzbeauty's youtube video. It's said that 1 bottle of this is sold every 20 SECONDS in Japan!! ^^ I haven't actually used this but I will let you know if it's any good in my future product review.:)

My Beauty Diary Bird's Nest Mask
I saw this Taiwanese facial mask on Guardian Pharmacy. Since it is pretty cheap (1 pack of 2 sheets for S$2.80 only!), I decided to grab and try this at home. So far the result on my skin has been quite great. The mask is soothing and I can see my skin appears hydrated and bright on the next morning when I wake up.:)

Bright Up Nano Eye Mask
Dark circles have been quite a problem for me since I am on computer on long hours and due to occasional late nights. Again thanks to Bubzbeauty's recommendation, I learn about this awesome nano eye mask that is supposed to treat dark eye circles. I have used this for a few times and find it quite nourishing and you can see plenty of its serum practically oozing out of the eye mask! =D I usually use the excess serum on my neck and my dry hands. Overall, I think this product is quite worth it though I am not sure if it can solve my dark circles in the long run.:)

L'oreal Gentle Lip & Eye Make-Up Remover (for waterproof make-up)
I have tried various brands of eye make-up remover but none has worked quite well as this one. It is really gentle on the eyes as it does not sting when I use it to remove my eye make-up. It also feels quite soothing as well! Just pour some of it to a thin cotton pad and leave it for a few seconds and then use your fourth finger to slide the cotton pad down your eyelids and tadaaa...you have clean eyelids!:)

Bobbi Brown Corrector in Bisque
Since my dark circles' problem has yet to be solved, I have also decided to get a good makeup product to conceal it. Based on good reviews I have seen on the internet, Bobbi Brown Corrector appears to serve this purpose. I have been using it recently and I would say that the result is pretty good as it manages to cover my dark circles quite well and it does not appear dry and cakey.:)

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Espresso Ink #7

Last but certainly not least, I have also got this gel eyeliner while visiting a Bobbi Brown counter. Prior to this, I have been using a black liquid eyeliner when doing my eye makeup. Since I want to try something different, I  decide to get this to try it out. The Bobbi Brown makeup advisor said that Espresso Ink #7 would suit me better since it will appear more natural and less harsh on my eyelids. I will let you know if it is worth the hype once I try it out. =)

Well...so that concludes my beauty haul! Phew! I will talk to you again soon! ;)

P.S.: Please feel free to leave any comments or feedback below & shoot me any questions you may have! You can also share with me what other products you have been using and raving about, thanks! ^-^

Obsessed with Mariah Carey! ;)

My first F1 experience was a blast yesterday! I got to watch one of my favourite singers in the world, Mariah Carey!, perform live in front of a crowd of approximately 100,000!! =D Even though she has difficulty adapting to the hot and humid weather, she still managed to pull it off by singing her popular songs such as Obsessed, Touch your Body, Always be my Baby, I'll be there, One Sweet day, Hero and so on. Her voice is top notch as usual. One funny moment is when she fell gracefully to the floor due to her stilettos and the slippery floor! ;p So she had to sing barefooted for a while..hehe~ The only thing I notice that's different from her usual public self is that she's grown bigger than normal. Rumours said that she is a few months' pregnant~! That is probably why she has to take a short break between every one or two songs.:) But overall, I really really love her show! It's epic, phenomenal, and I hope I can get to watch her concert in the future AGAIN! =)
The epic opening of the concert!
Super MC fan's wearing an interesting t-shirt :)
Fly,Fly butterflies...~<3
The DIVA~! =)
Shake it off!
Cool!
Duet song "One Sweet Day"
The last song she performed "Hero" is my favourite song out of all those she sang last nite. I can really feel and relate to it. =)) Here's a short clip of it.

Girls' Generation "Genie"

I saw this on TV just now and I thought this song is catchy. So I looked it up on Youtube immediately. The best part of the video is, all the girls are so pretty and have LONG,SLIM legs!! How on earth can their legs look so alike? Hmm, I wonder if they are somewhat photoshopped...:P Anw, hope you enjoy listening to this! =)

My top 3 favourite makeup gurus

During my free time, I like to browse youtube. This is when I can find talented people who are willing to share their expertise such as these three makeup gurus who I am going to talk about below. I really admire them as they are really good at demonstrating their makeup skills in their youtube videos and they have nice and interesting personalities as well!:) So here it goes!^_^

Michelle Phan is a professional makeup artist and a spokeperson for Lancome. She is based in United States and I think she is also studying in an art school. I really like her because she's so creative and hands-on. To me, her makeup style is sophisticated and somewhat edgy. Her youtube tutorials are quite pleasant to watch as she always uses nice songs for the background music and she also explains with her soothing voice. Occasionally, she will teach her audience how to diy cosmetic products such as facial masks, paper hair curler, etc. However, I think her tutorials are more suitable for people who have some makeup experience.
The following is her antique smokey eyes tutorial that I really like.:)

Next is Lindy Tsang.
Better known as Bubzbeauty, she is currently based in Hong Kong and she also has a clothing line sold via her website. Her makeup style is more cutesy but nonetheless, pleasant-looking as well. She is also pretty good at hairstyling such as braiding hair with a bendable wire ribbon as shown above in her picture. I think her makeup tutorials are really suitable for Asian females in general. Especially for those who love cute Japanese/Korean lady look.:) Here's one of my favourite videos of hers on how to achieve a clear skin.

Last but not least is Blair Fowler.
Like Michelle, she is also based in United States. She is the youngest out of the three gurus mentioned as she still attends high school. I really like how she does the makeup on her eyes and I think she has a nice room as well.:) She also has a very good tutorial video on how to do the big, soft Victoria Secret inspired hair as shown below.

Ah...overall, I really love what they are doing. It inspires me to take better care of my skin and teaches me how to style myself better as well.:) Hope this information will be useful to some of you girls out there as well! =)

Welcome to my "new" blog!:)

Well actually I've had this blog for a while. It's just that I've been mostly updating my xanga site instead of this. However, from now on, I've decided to blog here instead.

To a brand new start, cheers!^^
